What an accident management company does

An accident management company steps in after a non-fault road accident and manages the claim process on your behalf. Instead of going through your own insurer and paying an excess, we pursue the at-fault driver’s insurer directly for everything you are entitled to.

We handle the paperwork, the correspondence, the liability investigation and the logistics. From the replacement car to the approved repair, you have a main point of contact who knows your claim, supported by our UK claims team, and a clear picture of where your claim stands at every stage.

What we arrange on your behalf after a non-fault accident

  • A like-for-like replacement vehicle delivered to your address
  • Repairs carried out at an approved bodyshop
  • Recovery of your vehicle from the scene if needed
  • All correspondence with the at-fault driver’s insurer
  • Evidence gathering if liability is disputed
  • Settlement of your out-of-pocket losses

Who we work for

We work for you, not for your insurer. That distinction matters more than it might seem.

When you make a claim through your own insurer, they appoint their own people to process it. Their interest is in settling the matter at the lowest cost to them. When you come to us, our job is to recover everything you are entitled to from the person who caused the accident.

The claims department on your side
Your insurer has a claims team. It is there to process your claim efficiently for your insurer. We exist to recover every penny you are owed from the driver who caused the accident, without it touching your own policy.

How we differ from your insurer

The two routes look similar from the outside. The difference is in who pays, who benefits, and what happens to your policy.

What we recover for you

On a straightforward non-fault claim, the at-fault driver’s insurer is liable for the following losses. We pursue each of them on your behalf.

  • The full cost of repairing your vehicle at an approved repairer
  • A like-for-like replacement vehicle for the entire period your car is off the road
  • Recovery and storage costs if your vehicle had to be towed from the scene
  • A total loss settlement at market value if your car is written off
  • Reasonable out-of-pocket expenses caused directly by the accident, subject to receipts

For more on the total loss route, see car written off, not my fault.

When this route applies

This route works in specific circumstances, and they cover most road traffic accidents. If yours is not one of them, we will tell you clearly on the first call, before you have committed to anything.

When it works
The non-fault route is available when another driver was clearly at fault and holds valid motor insurance. If fault is genuinely unclear, or if the other driver was uninsured or left the scene, a different process applies. We check this on the first call and advise you on the right route before you sign anything.

If the other driver was uninsured, see hit by an uninsured driver.

Frequently asked questions

Is an accident management company the same as my insurer?
No. Your insurer manages claims under your own policy. An accident management company pursues the at-fault driver’s insurer on your behalf, without involving your own policy. Your insurer processes your claim; we recover what you are owed from the person who caused the accident.
Do I have to pay you anything?
No. Our fees are recovered from the at-fault driver’s insurer as part of the claim. You do not pay anything upfront or at the end of the process. If the claim cannot be run on a non-fault basis, we will tell you before you commit to anything.
What types of accident do you handle?
We handle non-fault motor accidents where another driver was responsible and holds valid insurance. That covers rear-end collisions, side-impact accidents, car park incidents and most other standard road traffic collisions. We also handle cases where liability needs to be established through evidence.
How quickly can you arrange a replacement car?
In most cases, a replacement vehicle is arranged on your first call and delivered to your address; we give you a realistic time when we speak to you. The car is matched to the size and type of the vehicle you have lost use of. It is delivered to your address and collected when the claim concludes.
